Platforms
Three booking platforms. One watch.
Almost every hard-to-get restaurant in the cities Concierge covers books through Resy, OpenTable or SevenRooms. Each has its own alert with its own limits. Concierge watches all three the same way.
- Resy Notify
- Resy Notify is a per-restaurant waitlist. You pick a date, a time range and a party size, and Resy may send a push or an email if a matching table opens.
- Where Concierge fits
- Each alert covers one restaurant on one date, only on Resy, so watching several means setting each one up separately, and a notification is not a hold. Concierge watches Resy restaurants alongside the other two platforms, around the clock, from the list you already keep in Biter.
OpenTable
OpenTable carries the widest set of restaurants, including most of the hardest tables in Chicago.
OpenTable alerts in detail- OpenTable Notify Me
- Notify Me sends a push notification if an already-booked time you asked for frees up at one restaurant on one date.
- Where Concierge fits
- Each alert covers one restaurant on one date, only on OpenTable, so several restaurants means several setups, and you still have to tap and claim the table before someone else does. Concierge watches OpenTable restaurants alongside the other two platforms, around the clock, from the list you already keep in Biter.
SevenRooms
A growing share of new, small, chef-run rooms book only through SevenRooms on their own site.
SevenRooms alerts in detail- SevenRooms waitlists
- SevenRooms is the booking system many independent restaurants run on their own website. Some offer an email waitlist; many offer nothing once a night is sold out.
- Where Concierge fits
- Whether an alert exists at all depends on the restaurant, and refreshing the booking widget by hand is the usual fallback. Concierge watches SevenRooms restaurants alongside the other two platforms, around the clock, from the list you already keep in Biter.
Tock is not watched yet. Restaurants that book only through Tock are marked as such in the city guides.
